Ibiza Town
The island’s capital is bustling with life. If you are travelling to Ibiza outside of peak season, in the October-May period, you should definiately stay at an apartment or hotel close to Ibiza Town. The rest of the island is closed down in this period.
A great starting point for exploring Ibiza Town is to head for the marina. This is where the ferries from mainland Spain arrive, and also where the inter-island ferries between Ibiza and Formentera departures.

If you want to do some shopping or try out a tapas restaurant, head up the busy streets of Avenida Rosello, Carrer Carles or Carrer Felip II. The shopping is not what you are used to from European capitals, but for a town of only 60 000 inhabitants it is pretty good. There is a great mix of shops from the local designers to international brands like Diesel and Levi’s. And of course, the Spanish favourite Mango is also ready to part you of your money.
