Honest travel guide – The naked truth.

Cycling in Formentera

Not content with staying all day at the beach and all night at the bar, are you? Need to do some excersising while you are away on holiday? Of course you can go into the nearest fitness club or proceed to do your 250 push ups on the beach, but if you want to burn calories while enjoying a day out in spectacular surroudings – go on a daytrip to Formentera  and rent una bicicleta – a bicycle.

Rent a bicycle in Formentera
When you arrive in Port de la Savina in Formentera, one of the first thing you will notice is 2 or 3 shops where you can hire a car, a motorbike, or a bicycle. Spend your time wisely in selecting the right bicycle, take it for a spin around the block if you like, because the quality of them varies greatly. The cost of a bike is €8-10 for one day.

After you have found yourself a decent bicycle it’s time to hit the road. Formentera is blessed with a very flat landscape which makes it very pleasant to ride a bicycle. If you are the fit type you should go for the 40 km return trip to La Mola and back. A more sedate cyclist may want to just spend his day in the Port la Savina and Es Pujols area. See map:
