Intro
Ibiza. It is well known for glamorous nightlife and hedonistic parties, spectacular beaches, a hippiesque atmosphere. But, in reality, it’s an island who derives its income from several types of tourism.

Yes, it is crowded in the middle of summer when the clubbers are very active in their latex and lycra outfits. Throw in a big gay community as well and you have the recipe for a decadent and hedonistic party island. But the clubs are only open from mid-June to mid-September. The rest of the year the island is pretty quiet and you get to have all the beaches and restaurants to yourself.
First things first, depending on who you are, where should you go in Ibiza?
* – I want to party hard among other young British people.
- Allright then, you book your holiday in San Antonio in June, July or August. The nightlife in the West End district is hectic and hard. Cheap lager and shots and plenty of wild partying.
* – I want luxurious and glamorous nightlife.
- The months you should visit are July, August and perhaps September. Stay in a chic hotel near Ibiza Town and experience the best clubs and nightlife the island has to offer.

Ibiza Town marina.
* – We’re a family with small children.
You should probably avoid the peak season in July and August. Any other time of year is perfect for holidays at resorts like Playa Bossa, Santa Euliana and Figuretas.
* – We want it cheap.
There are a lot of cheap holiday offers in Ibiza in the beginning and end of the summer season. Visit the island in May, September or October to get the best offers. If you manage to find a cheap flight yourself you can pick up hotel rooms for less than €35 a night.
..and do not forget about Formentera!
Ibiza’s little sister is Formentera, a tiny island only 30 minutes by ferry away from Ibiza Town. Check out my 24 photos from a cycling trip there in October 2009.

Last summer i went to Ibiza to the Euroibiza beach volleyball competition. It was a great tournament but unfortunattely there were to many great players so I and my partner didn’t win too many games. I just had a great time, the beaches are wonderfull.
I went to Las Salinas Beach which is the best place in the world, full with beautifull girls and famous people. I recomend this place for everyone, and if you get there you must visit the Jockey club and the Salt flats. It is the capital of clubbing, and beside Jockey club there are several other clubs like Bora Bora or Pacha.
